Sip Holiday Beverages, Take Special Tours, and More During Christmas Village at Bayou Bend

This Friday, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens will once again transform into a winter wonderland for the fifth annual Christmas Village at Bayou Bend. On December 27th, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston brings holiday cheer to life with thousands of lights, carolers, animated projections, a hand-crafted model train, and festive activities, including cotton snowball tosses and a faux-snow slope, for all ages.

Visitors can stroll through the gardens while sipping on holiday beverages, or even take a holiday-themed tour of Ima Hogg’s historic mansion with actors and theatrical effects. With the assistance of partner Landry’s, Christmas Village also offers dinner and light bites at Santa’s Kitchen Food truck and sweet treats at the candy shop. Upgrade your evening with a theatrical, holiday-themed tour of the first floor of the house! The tour adds just $5 to any admission (including the free children’s tickets).

Plus, the Cottage Shop at Bayou Bend is open for browsing! The Cottage Shop at Bayou Bend features unique products, at all price ranges, that reflect the quality, craftsmanship, and beauty of Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. Skilled artisans have crafted one-of-a-kind and limited-edition items with classic designs for contemporary lifestyles.

Bayou Bend is the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. Displayed in the former home of Houston civic leader and philanthropist Ima Hogg (1882–1975), the collection is one of the finest showcases of American furnishings, silver, ceramics, and paintings in the world. The house is situated on 14 acres of organically maintained gardens in Houston’s historic River Oaks neighborhood.

Enjoy a uniquely Houstonian Christmas tradition at Christmas Village at Bayou Bend! Christmas Village at Bayou Bend will be open until December 30th at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. Admission starts at $8 for members and $10 for non-members. Children under the age of 4 enjoy free admission.
