This Broadway Tale of Murder and Fame Will Grip You Until the Very End

There has never been a better time to experience Chicago than next Tuesday, June 4th! Next week, Broadway’s razzle-dazzle smash comes to Houston for a limited live engagement. Don’t miss the number one longest-running American musical in Broadway history! Grab your tickets now for Chicago at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts.

Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show-stopping song after another; and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen. This triumphant hit musical is the recipient of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy, thousands of standing ovations. It’s no surprise that Chicago has wowed audiences from Mexico City to Moscow, from Sao Paulo to South Africa. And now, it’s coming to Houston!

Set in the legendary city during the roaring ‘20s, Chicago tells the story of two rival vaudevillian murderesses locked up in Cook County Jail. Nightclub star Velma’s serving time for killing her husband and sister after discovering their affair, while chorus girl Roxie’s been tossed in the joint for bumping off the lover she’s been cheating on her husband with.

Not one to rest on her laurels, Velma enlists the help of prison matron Mama Morton and slickster lawyer Billy Flynn, who turn Velma’s incarceration into a murder-of-the-week media frenzy, thus preparing the world for a splashy showbiz comeback. But Roxie’s got some of her own tricks up her sleeve…
